as I hear pm lee deliver his answers to the questions on gst and cpf. I can't help thinking that our government is doing a fairly good job. you see, singaporeans are mainly well-protected, well-fed, most of us have roofs over our heads. But as humans progress, a roof over our heads, and necessities such as this becomes, well, basic necessitites. So we take them for granted and yearn for more. If we can yearn for less as we grow older, perhaps lives will be more liveable and meaningful-transcending from a "possess" mode to "provide" mode. giving part of us to the society, to the people around us.
