Ferrari 3-D photo/video

I'm still working on just the tip of this effect. I started researching this 3-D photo technique this past weekend, opened After Effects for the first time (of my life!) this week.

 

I still don't understand enough about camera moves, and had a few 'rendered project" files saved as 300+ MB files, yeah- oops.

 

I'm kinda fascinated by this. Might just use it some more. But I'd love to hear what all y'all others think.

 

Please understand I'm new to this video stuff. I'd appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, criticisms, or opinions.

 

I covered this SF Auto Show for a car website a couple years ago.
