Home built geiger counter & probes
I took the circuit board from a CDV -700 civil defense geiger counter and cut it down a bit, and rearranged some of the components so it would fit into a smaller case. Additions to the basic unit are a BNC cable connector, a piezo speaker on top, and a pushbutton operated dial light. I added a BNC connector to the standard "hot dog" probe, and made a pocket sized pancake G.M. probe for it. It all fits in my 2 large coat pockets. : )
