What happens if you manage to find ways to run from your past, but time doesn't let you go?
People who love reading are mostly either escapists, dreamers, or loners. Escapists, who dislike their current reality and long to enter the fantasy worlds portrayed in stunning imagery; dreamers, who are held back and forced to believe that everything is impossible against their wills, but struggle to dream on; loners, who shy away from the company of humankind, and who have felt a deeper connection with a beautifully worded character, than someone made of flesh and blood. Reading takes them, takes us away from all the troubles of right now and away into a place where we are not alone. A place where actual misery is prevalent; where there is a much higher chance of a happier ending.. A timeless place, where we can forget about ourselves and just think about other things. A place where we do not exist in physical form, but yet still exist in so many other more miraculous ways.
A book is a plane ticket into ethereality. A promise of acceptance and never rejection. A time traveller. The freedom you long for, it is all contained within the pages of a book.
