This was taken at the scenic view point on the West bound side of I-84, about 50 miles East of Biggs Oregon. (Just a guess on the miles)
The sun was maybe an hour from setting, and mostly obscured by clouds to the left of this shot, well out of frame.
Almost forgot to mention, that's the Columbia River, Washington State on the other side, and Oregon where I was.
The tugboat and barge were why I'd stopped, then after taking a few pictures I saw three young men, collage age, one flying a drone. It was a small one, and much quieter than I'd expected. Talked to them for about 5 minutes as the one continued flying. I've been considering getting one, now it's a definite. So many places I'd like to get pictures from, and a drone is the only way.
So that's my next gift to myself. Sometimes I think I've spoiled myself.
In Boise Idaho tonight and heading to Phoenix to get my truck serviced at our terminal there.
