a year, and 2000 miles away...

Took this a little over a year ago in Oregon. That's the Columbia River as the sun was beginning to get low in the sky. My truck was parked in the scenic view parking area above and behind me as I moved along the steep facing. (not quite a cliff, but you wouldn't want to slip and fall, it's a long way to the bottom)

If you've driven Westbound along side the river you've probably noticed this spot, pretty large and no facilities. Just a place to stop and view, and of course take pictures. Seems like most times I've stopped here there's a train going by, and often you'll catch one of the many tugs pushing their barges up or down the river. I didn't see either on this day, just windy, some clouds and the late afternoon light. Plenty to work with.

Finished in Michigan, AM delivery and PM pickup, and finished this evening in Wisconsin 50 miles from my 10 AM delivery. A long day, but only about 375 miles of driving.
