Splendid Toadfish

Definitely one of the highlights of the trip. This little critter apparently is only found on the Palancar Reef in Cozumel - and nowhere else in the world! Such a cool thing to see something so unique.

 

Also known as the Coral Toadfish, its latin name is Sanopus splendidus.

 

What was that about "only a mother could love a face like that?"
