Bye Bye 2025
2025 geht zu Ende, was für ein Jahr ! Die Österreichische Band STS hat 1984 gesungen: "Nimm da vü vor, a wennst ned all's dapockst. Heb dein Arsch, sei ned faul. Hab nur kan Respekt, mit wache Knie hot no kana die Wöd nei entdeckt", was soviel heißt wie "Nimm dir viel vor, auch wenn du nicht alles schaffst. Hebe deinen Hintern hoch, sei nicht faul. Habe nur keine Furcht, mit weichen Knien hat noch keiner die Welt (neu) entdeckt..." Nach diesem Motto hatte ich mir für dieses Jahr viel vorgenommen, habe versucht fleißig zu sein und durfte so viel mehr Schönes sehen und erleben als ich erwartet hatte. Da waren allem voran die Reisen nach China und Polen, die Städtetrips nach Berlin, Brüssel und Frankfurt, Bergtouren in der Schweiz und schöne Ausflüge in unsere heimischen Mittelgebirge. Ich bin zudem wieder in die Analog-Fotografie eingestiegen, habe mit der Vogelfotografie und mit der Street-Fotografie angefangen. Dankbar bin ich meiner Familie für die Freiräume, die sie mir lässt dieses zeitraubende und nicht ganz günstige Hobby auszuüben. Dankbar bin ich auch dafür, dass es uns allgemein (noch) möglich ist weitgehend frei umherzureisen und (fast alles) zu fotografieren, was ja nicht unbedingt selbstverständlich ist. Auch danke ich Euch, meine lieben Flickr-Freunde für die eine oder andere Inspiration und Euer fleißiges Kommentieren. Und letztlich bin ich meiner in diesem Jahr verstorbenen Mutter dankbar, dass sie mich zum Reisen und Fotografieren inspiriert hat. R.I.P.
So und was kommt nun in 2026 ? 2025 lässt sich nicht toppen, das ist klar. Für mich wird's ein etwas schwierigeres Jahr, zumindest finanziell, das steht schon mal fest. Eine größere Reise ist geplant (und auch schon weitestgehend bezahlt, hurra), da freue ich mich schon sehr drauf. Und sonst ? Mal schauen, kleinere Ausflüge in die Mittelgebirge und bestimmt auch wieder in die Alpen, das wird auch im nächsten Jahr klappen, so hoffe ich...
Euch meinen lieben Flickr-Freunden wünsche ich das beste 2026, das man sich nur vorstellen kann. Friede, Freiheit, Gesundheit und dass Euch ganz viel Schönes vor die Linse kommt.

2025 is drawing to a close, what a year! The Austrian band STS sang in 1984: "Take on a lot, even if you can't accomplish everything. Get your butt up, don't be lazy. Don't be afraid, no one has ever (re)discovered the world with wobbly knees..." Following this motto, I had set myself many goals for this year, tried to be diligent, and was able to see and experience so much more beauty than I had expected. Above all, there were the trips to China and Poland, the city breaks to Berlin, Brussels, and Frankfurt, mountain hikes in Switzerland, and lovely excursions in our local low mountain ranges. I also got back into analog photography, starting with bird photography and street photography. I'm grateful to my family for the freedom they give me to pursue this time-consuming and not-so-cheap hobby. I'm also grateful that we're (still) able to travel largely freely and photograph (almost everything), which isn't something to take for granted. I also want to thank you, my dear Flickr friends, for the occasional inspiration and your diligent comments. And finally, I'm grateful to my mother, who passed away this year, for inspiring me to travel and take photographs. R.I.P.
So, what's next for 2026? 2025 can't be topped, that's for sure. It'll be a somewhat more challenging year for me, at least financially, that much is certain. A major trip is planned (and already mostly paid for, hurray!), and I'm really looking forward to it. And what else? Let's see, shorter trips to the low mountain ranges and certainly back to the Alps again, that should work out next year too, I hope...
