Enjoy and sorry, it's not a sequel =P lol
And warning...it's a little dark.

- - - She threw herself against an oak tree, gasping for air. She was tired of running. She could hear the galloping of horses in the distance, she knew they were coming for her, but she couldn’t bring herself to run. Her body was numb. Numb with fear, and with cold, for the season was fast approaching winter. She closed her eyes for a moment, reflecting on the temporary silence. An hour ago she was walking through the woods, laughing and gossiping with her best friend, Emmeline. One wrong step changed the course of their lives and suddenly the two of them were sprinting, desperately for the woods racing the enemies for their lives. She would never forget what happened only minutes before now, she heard a scream stab at the eerie silence of the forest and froze when she realized that Emmeline was no longer at her side. A second later, she was numb as the painstaking thought came to mind. She knew that scream. And now she was alone. Tears burned in her eyes, her body shuddering in exasperation. The galloping was growing louder, the muffled cries of her enemies coming closer, and her heart was pounding faster. This is the last time. She thought to herself as a hot tear rolled down her cheek, shattering on the forest floor, decorated with crimson leaves. They were close now, the sheer power of the horses’ gallop was quaking the earth. Her body trembled and her eyes were glazed with tears. “The last time.” She whimpered. - - -
