The view from Potsdamer Platz along Stresemannstrasse. The building on the horizon in the far distance, slightly to the right as one looks along the street, may be the ruin of Anhalter Bahnhof (see photographs in my set "Berlin, 1959 and 1960"). This stood in West Berlin. The building on the right in the near foreground is the ruin of Haus Vaterland, in East Berlin.
This and many other of my photographs are featured in my book "Berlin in the Cold War, 1959-1966" (Allan Hailstone, Amberley Publishing, October 2017), together with the story of my experiences of photographing divided Berlin in those years.
