Harvest Time in the Countryside

This is a typical post harvest activity. The rice stalks were cut the day before using the traditional way: using a sickle. The stalks were piled in several areas of the field. A thresher machine is then used to separate the rice grains from the stalks. The sack of rice grains will be transported out of the field later using a carabao (water buffalo) drawn cart.
