The right to an abortion has become one of the most divisive issues and the most distinctive differences between Democrats and Republicans although it wasn’t always that way. The author of abortion rights was written by conservative Republican Supreme Court justice Harry Blackmun, appointed by Richard Nixon. Look at the map of states that are certain to ban abortion if it’s reversed by the Supreme Court. It looks like an urban/rural, east/west divide rather than a north vs south which is why it’s hard to imagine a civil war, but if there is one, this would most likely be the map.
It’s appalling how many Republicans have ads of them shooting guns, standing up for the right to own a guns and our constitutional right to protect ourselves against an intruder or an overly intrusive government. Check out this ad by Dr. Oz. youtu.be/VdQ9T79dGNs
Great to see so many people out today at the March for Reproductive Justice Saturday May 14/2022. March down Market St to Embarcadero Plaza from San Francisco Civic Center. As far as the eye can see! But is it just performative? Are people going to get the wakeup call and push back on the Supreme Court to represent the will of 70% of the people?
