It's a hard decision to post such a picture. I've look at it for so many days now and I hesitated sometime spending long moment in front of it. I hope nobody will see disrespect for doing it. Beyond this woman, beyond the crazyness investing all the picture, I see connections lost between people. I see souvenirs as a reality. I see loneliness as a companion in life.
There's no beauty with living in the street. There's harshness, there's illness in body or mind, there's violence and death. Respecting people I shoot is for me to show them as they are. Not better, not worse. It's a hard work. In a way, I'm like a stain on this picture : I would have to post it without having taking it.
Though technically this is an awful shot, it is, for me, a first key point in my work in the street.
