ode to the palms

I've always loved palm trees. Even after hearing the stories about rats showering out of them during quakes in L.A. To me, they always say "tropical holiday" or "childhood beach memories", so I was delighted to find that whatever lunatic planted our back garden years ago had put in no less than 6 varieties.
