instant nostalgia

I think i figured out what it is that simultaneously attracts and freaks me out about many TTV shots. It's pretty simple, really: the images often look convincingly like something discovered in a family album, documenting events of decades ago. Makes me feel preemptively nostalgic for the present, which is a more than a little unheimlich.
