we have tried for two days to go swimming after work, with temperatures reaching into the upper 70's. both times, we drove around to all the places we usually go, and both times they were all occupied by obnoxious, loud fishing people. i got so frustrated, because i take alice to these places all winter long and nobody else is out there. where were they when it was 35 degrees and there was snow on the ground? i know where i was... right there at the swimming hole with my dog.
alice loves to swim! in this picture she is only wading because i couldn't throw the stick out any further. this is supposed to be a small stream but with the snow melt and heavy spring rains, alice is now standing on what used to be shoreline. but not to worry! she did find a spot big enough to jump in and do a little paddling.
