Long Road Home

Near Edinburgh, Scotland.

 

I took this picture at the end of a long, lonesome hike over the Pentland Hills on a rainy, windy February day. I would have to walk two miles to get from here to Balerno, where I could catch a bus back into Edinburgh. Soon after I took this, a car full of people offered me a ride. Demographically they looked safe, so I accepted.
