Poppy Field.

I've taken the blue ones, the yellow ones, the golden ones -- but I've not seen a Poppy red one round here for years. Do our farmers use more weedkillers?

But then a neighbour mentioned that he had seen Poppies, and I went off to photograph them.

 

What light have people found best for Poppies? This was fairly early in the day. Do I need to get there before dawn ... ? Ugh!

 

Thanks Barbara, for the suggestion to recrop. I like it much better without the dark wood top frame.
