Etang de la gruère, 2025
In western Switzerland lies the fascinating Etang de la Gruère. It's a small moorland lake. A boardwalk leads around the encircle it. It had snowed recently, and I set off very early to experience the sunrise there. As I got out of the car, I thought: It's really cold here – probably around -2 or -3 degrees Celsius!
Photographing with my analog large-format camera was, as always, a wonderful experience. I really got into the flow and just kept taking pictures – in the end, I had a whopping six shots. A great result for me – if only my feet hadn't gotten so cold. Back in the car, I looked at the thermometer – -13 degrees Celsius! Two pairs of socks would have been appropriate!
