Lake Neuchâtel, 2023

Morning mood on Lake Neuchâtel. It's 4 o'clock in the morning. The alarm clock rattles next to my sleeping bag. Get out of the warmth and out into the freshness of the new morning. It's wonderful (ok, ok - it would be nice in my sleeping bag too - after the shoot I have to go there again...). The tree for the photo had already been found yesterday. So let's go. The sky is already slightly colored. Quickly set up the tripod, mount the camera, extend the bellows - set all screws to "normal". I look at the scene through the ground glass. It's getting more and more red! Wonderful! Measure the light, set the aperture to 8, set shutter speed, then: safety shot - everything ok. Remove ground glass, mount film back, get ready for the shot. It's very quiet. I'm all alone. It's what i love.
