The Mad Hatter's Tea Party

The table was a large one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it:

 

`No room! No room!' they cried out when they saw Alice coming.

One of the coolest things about this image is that it really encompasses all the details needed for the entire tea party. I could have simply called it a day with this shot. The Dormouse sitting on the rim of the Mad Hatters hat next to a tiny teacup, the March Hare holding the watch as if dipping it in the tea, Alice's expression is as though it all is so new to her, and of course the Mad Hatter standing out as such a unique character to the cast. All the elements seemed to line up perfectly. How did I do it? It was really a stroke of luck.

I remember the last thing I did was fix the March Hare's tie. My nine year old son was so excited to work with the girls, I'm surprised he held still so long. When he wasn't standing still, he was completely enthralled with the Mad Hatter and her mouse.
