*Imperial Sand Dunes @ sand turbulence*
Late afternoon at Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area in the far southeast of California near Brawley (just along Ben Hulse Highway 78).
These dunes are regularly used with OHV's for spectacular fun rides.
When I photographed this picture, a strong wind blew over the dunes. For fear of damage to the camera, I photographed exceptionally out of the car here.
