Baby Moose Calf From Yesterday - One Of Two
Jan and myself went for a drive yesterday morning and saw nine moose.
The one cow had twin calves.
Jan, spotted it.
She just saw a part of its back as we were driving by.
She said, that she was sure it was a moose.
Since, she is rarely wrong,
I turned the car around for a second look.
Sure enough, there was a cow and she had twin calves.
We parked, got out and carefully approached her and the calves.
Mom, was feeding on alder and could have cared less as we maneuvered to get a clear shot.
I wanted both calves together looking at me.
Since, that wasn't working real well, I decided to just try for a shot of one of the calves.
As mom, moved along feeding the calves followed.
When they separated enough, I was able to get shots like this one, of each of the calves.
