Battle Scars On This Old Male Red Fox
There are two very similar looking red fox that show up every so often.
They almost look like identical twins.
But, there are some differences if you look close.
I am pretty sure the other one is a female.
They are lighter in color then most of the other fox and have kind of a mask that frames their face.
This male usually shows up during the mating season, but, tends to stay across the river the rest of the time.
Very strong winds today.
The weather has warmed up and with it comes the high winds and freezing rain.
Sometime, early this morning a big gust blew the "birdcage" off a pedestrian walkway that spanned the six lanes of the Seward Highway in South Anchorage.
Kids have used it for many years to get across to the school on the other side.
Fortunately, there weren't any cars on the highway at that time in the morning, as it blocked all six lanes on both sides.
