Family Of Sandhill Cranes In My Front Yard On A Rainy Morning - In Explore
I am finally getting around to posting a shot of the family of four Sandhill Cranes that have been visiting my front yard lately.
There were four coming nearly every day.
Then the smaller young crane didn't show up.
Not sure why it hasn't been coming with the other three.
I hope it has just decided it was old enough to head out on its own.
They haven't shown up for three days now.
They were coming every morning and evening.
But, it is getting to that time of year when heading south is on their mind.
Getting colder and darker with each passing day.
Wow! where did summer go?
Overnight lows are already running around 42 degrees.
We have already seen termination dust on the mountains!
I put off posting a shot of the cranes, as I hoped I could get a better one.
