Little Female Red Fox Taking A rest From The Two Males Chasing Her

The day I took this, Big Red had been pestering and chasing her.

She was in heat and there were four males hanging around.

She wasn't getting any peace and the males were looking pretty tired.

Probably up all night.

This usually works great for me, as they tend to ignore how close they are to me. Big Red, was all stretched out on a snowbank about 40 feet away.

Little Red was over napping about 100 feet from Big Red. There were two other "new" males in the area that kept showing up.

So, she just came over near me and laid down.

I guess, I was her buffer zone to keep the males at bay. :-)
