Little Female Red Fox Posing Pretty On Round Island, AK
I have made several trips to Round Island over the years.
Steve (my brother) went with me on this trip.
It was most memorable because of this little red fox.
She loved to play. We would run and she would chase us. Then she would run and hide and wait till we found her.
She followed us as we hiked around the island taking pictures of the Seabirds, Puffins, Walrus and Steller Sea Lions.
If we stopped to take pictures she would go lay down and patiently wait for us to get done.
Every so often, she would take off for awhile and come back with an egg in her mouth and precede to eat it. Sometimes, she would just bury it for later.
At night she would lay outside our tents and sometimes whine, wanting us to come and play hide and seek with her.
In the morning she would be out there waiting for us.
It was an awesome trip.
