Little Female Red Fox Turning To Leave After Drinking At The Rivers Edge
The Little Female was hunting along the freshly frozen rivers edge and had stopped to get a drink.
Since she was facing away from me, I waited for her to finish drinking and turn to leave.
This is what I got.
For several years she always took a drink at the rivers edge in a different area.
Everyday, almost like clock work, she would show there and drink from the river during the winter.
At that place I could always get a shot of her from the side.
Often, you could see her little tongue lapping the water.

I saw at least four fox today.
Didn't see any for about an hour when I first got there and was starting to get a bit worried, as I usually see at least one right off.
Then, I saw a young moose watching me from about a 150 yards away. I saw three moose today.
While I was deciding if I wanted to walk down and get a shot of it, I saw a fox cross right in front of it and head for the river.
After that, I started seeing more across the river.
With the cold weather new ice has formed along the rivers edge making it narrow enough that they can jump across.
