Female Red Fox On A Snowy Morning

It started snowing not long after I got out where the fox are.

The light was still pretty marginal.

But, it seems like that is what I am shooting in most of the time.

I like early because I see more wildlife then.

Later (with better light) I don't see nearly as much wildlife.

So, I go early and try to compensate.

Our weather has warmed up some (mid 30's), but, with it comes freezing rain turning our streets into skating rinks.

I usually avoid driving when the streets are like that.

But, yesterday we had to go out.

On that short drive we passed two cars upside down in the median.

The parking lots and our street were a complete wet extremely slippery mess.

Ice skates, anyone! ;-)

I do have cleats, but, didn't have them on, we were going to be inside.

I always drop Jan by the door when the weather is bad.

But, then I go park way out in the lot, way away from all the lazy "door dingers" that park up close.

I like my cars and try very hard to keep them dent free.

So, if I have to walk a couple of hundred yards to keep my car from getting "door dings" it is worth it. Also, good exercise.

Jan, will say where did you park?

I tell her, see that white Outback about a half mile away at the back end of the lot, well that's ours.

I'll go get it and be right back! :-)

Anyway, hope you like the shot!
