This is "Little Red".
He is one handsome fox!!!
Mating season runs from February through March in our area.
"Big Red" and "Little Red" have been keeping a close eye on the little female.
"Big Red" did mate with her, but, that hasn't stopped "Little Red" from courting her and trying to also mate with her.
Both of them spend quite a bit of time bedded down near the den entrance.
Hopefully, something will come of it this year.
The males let me work a lot closer to them when they are distracted by her presence.
I have seen six different fox in the area since she came into heat.
