Portrait Of A Steller Jay Using Fill Flash

Took this Steller Jay Portrait in my backyard. We have as many a seven Jays coming in to the feeding station. Could be more, but, seven is the most that have showed up at one time.

This one will land on my hand and select a peanut or two from the handful I offer him.

There are several others that will do the same thing, but, this one is the most comfortable doing it.

I shot this using fill flash as it helps "pop" the colors and the birds are used to it and don't spook.

Camera Settings: f/11 - 1/250 - 140mm - ISO 640

Using fill flash.

PS - Just realized that both of my last posts were taken on the same day. Fox in the morning and the Jay in the afternoon when I got home. :-)
