Welcome to my Studio
55/365
The world is my studio. The streets are my playground. My game is to be portable and ready to go whenever and wherever. I like to use my surroundings as my backdrop and work with what is given to me at any moment. Time is valuable, time of day is the mood of my backdrop. One of the most inspiration photographers to me is Nick Turpin, a street photographer who is always on the go using his surroundings creatively with some awesome lighting.
This was also from the day my umbrellas were destroyed (I know 365, I'm cheating a bit, but I'm a busy guy). You can't really tell the silver one is broken, but the bottom supports are all snapped and bent. The bottom umbrella is visibly broken, it looks like a jelly fish. But, you gotta run whatch'ya brung. This is one of the challenges in photography that makes it so fun. Though, your gear might be broken, you still can find creative ways to use it. Remember when I was using boxes and wax paper as light modifiers? They worked just as well and they were free. They're just a pain to transport. Hell, they probably would have taken the beating better from this weather.

Strobist: 580 ex II @ 1/2 power into silver umbrella at my right on stand, SB-26 on ground through broken umbrella @ 1/4 power and another 2b-26 behind me and to my left @ 1/16 power bare. Triggered by Cactus V4s and optical slaves.
