遠眺玉龍雪山

Overlooking the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

 

玉龍雪山位於雲南省麗江市玉龍納西族自治縣, 是國家級重點風景名勝區, 長江以南的第一高峰, 也是北半球距赤道最近的現代海洋性冰川。

雪山山腰雲騰霧繞, 遠望像一條銀白色的巨龍, 因此得名。

玉龍雪山集天下名山險、奇、美、秀於一身，元代宣尉使李京稱“玉龍雪山天下絕”。

 

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Snow Mountain) near Lijiang, Yunnan province, southwestern China, is a national key scenic spots, the highest peak in the south of the Yangtze River. There is always clouds surrounding mountain waist, afar like a silver dragon, hence the name.
