Tate Britain - Now You See Us: Women Artists In Britain 1520 - 1920
A new exhibition opens at Tate Britain celebrating women artists from 1520 to 1920. It charts the road women have had to pursue to be recognised as professional artists. Over 100 artists with some well known names which include Artemisia Gentileschi, Angelica Kauffman, Julia Margaret Cameron and Gwen John. Many of the artists are newly exhibited after a forensic investigation by the curators. The exhibition opens on 16th May till 13th October 2024.
