Près du village abandonné d'Otero, une petite colonie de Guêpiers s'est installée.

Grâce à la protection du Parc Naturel de Villafàfila les oiseaux sont bien protégés par des barrières qui interdisent de les approcher.

Aussi nous avons été bien contents que quelques individus viennent se percher sur les bords du chemin et se laissent photographier depuis la voiture.

 

A small colony of Bee-eaters has settled near the abandoned village of Otero.

 

Thanks to the protection afforded by the Villafàfila Nature Park,

the birds are well protected by fences that forbid anyone to approach them.

 

So we were delighted to see a few of them perch on the side of the road and let ourselves be photographed from the car.
