1979ish: Sittingbourne Freight

Apart from the weekly delivery of china clay slurry from Burngallow in tank wagons, the other freight service to operate to and from Sittingbourne in the 1970s conveyed food produce (usually fruit and vegetables) from the Continent via the Trainferry and Dover, and then to Sittingbourne.

Another similar service ran to and from Paddock Wood.

An unidentified class 73 is seen in the Down Goods Loop with a 2-HAP combination at platform 3 on the Sheerness branch shuttle.
