Built in 1984 by Chantiers Dubigeon, Prairie-au-Duc, Nantes, France for SNCF, she was first named "Champs Elysees". Weighing in at 9,069grt when built, she made her maiden voyage on the Calais - Dover route on October 4th 1984.
Operated occasionally on the Boulogne - Dover route, but in July 1990 she was transferred to Dieppe and commenced sailings to Newhaven. Renamed "Stena Parisien" on June 3rd 1992.
In January 1997, after another rebuilding, she was renamed "Seafrance Manet" and transferred back to Calais for the Dover route and was eventually laid up in Calais in April 2008 pending disposal.
