Rone Empire 2019-03-14 (6D_IMG_1912)

Burnham Beeches is a sprawling 1930’s mansion in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges, it has been left vacant for more than 20 years and was in a state of ruin.

Australian artist Tyrone Wright, aka Rone, internationally renowned for his many pieces of street art in Melbourne, and other cities in Australia and the world, has transformed Burnham Beeches with his latest project, Empire.

Part exhibition, part installation, part virtual reality and augmented reality experience, Empire combines Rone’s art, with sound, light, botanical design and scents to take audiences on a hauntingly immersive multi-sensory journey through this magnificent building.

The subject of Rone’s many paintings in the mansion is Australian actress Lily Sullivan.

The exhibition is sold out for March and April, and after that the artwork will be destroyed as the mansion is refurbished.

Such a magnificent piece of work, and I hope you won’t get sick of my photos over the next few days, there will be a few of them.
