Aimless Alliterations says: Macro-photography provides us with a glimpse into a world which is often quite literally under our noses. This example from Isaac Nines shows us the beauty of nature in all its complexity and simplicity. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere new beginnings are indeed all around us.

Aimless Alliterations says: A wonderful example of portraiture, subtly lit and with the face nicely isolated from the background......it resembles a Vermeer portrait. I love the expression of bored disinterest on the sitter's face.

Aimless Alliterations says: I'm a sucker for all things "SPACE" and never managed to see a Shuttle launch despite paying several visits to Florida over the years. Now that the Shuttle is retired it must have been quite a sight circling over Washington on the back of its 747. Discovery looks pretty well used - and I guess she's travelled a fair few million miles in her time.

Aimless Alliterations says: Ah those umberellas. A familiar sight in my part of the world lately. April showers have been heavy and frequent. The same goes for Japan apparently. A nice example of street photography.
