I saw some lambs on the 10th November just a couple of miles down the road from these & thought it's so early in the season. Then on the walk on the 12th December near to the previous cliff shots, I viewed these lambs.
Apparently, these are one of two breeds that are the only sheep breed that can breed all year round - ideal for controlling the lambing times. The other breed is the Dorset Horns.
The Dorset Polls fleece is very white in color, strong, close and free from dark fiber and extends down the legs. Their fleece is free from dark fibers. And the fleece averages between 2.23 and 4 kg when shorn.
And that is just about all I know about sheep 😉
