picture of myself, Chris Arp, AHS 1989, and Richard Beck AHS 1978 from a recent trip that we shared in northern Alaska. The interesting aspect here is that we put this trip together through a mutual colleague and once together realized that we shared a common background of both being AHS alumni (as well as Central Jr. High and Iowa State University.
We took this picture as an AHS promotion. Let me know if you're interested in further details this trip and our work related to scientific studies of the arctic.
Richard is a Professor of Geography at U. Cinncinati working on communication and monitoring infrusture and I'm a scientist with U.S. Geological Survey in Anchorage, AK working on lakes and climate change...Cheers,
