2012 eco challenge awards
As an award, the metal medallion may be presented to a person or organization as a form of recognition for athletic, military, scientific, or academic achievements. Historically, the offering of metals or medallions was first recorded in the fourth century, and had frequently been given in tribute and acclaim of athletic endurance and strength. Traditionally made of brass, steel, bronze, and pewter, these materials translated as the four stages of man in Greek mythology.
Artists who focus their talents on the creation of medals or medallions are termed a medalist. This Custom Medallion was Made in Rhode Island and reclaimed from scraps of larger sheets of stainless steel. Ahlers Designs takes great pleasure in continuing this tradition in the custom design of the “Waterman Eco-Challenge” Award, commissioned by Raw Elements. To all the athletes of today’s competition, Congratulations!
At Ahlers Designs, “The art of recognition” is at the heart of every project. We custom design awards and corporate gifts that accentuate each organization’s unique culture, message, and mission. We help you show appreciation with class and originality.
