This is land made by the sea,..the soil consist of clay,left every time the water of the sea came and gone,..when people start to live here many 10.000 years( ? ) ago..They have to make little hills called "terpen"or "wierden".Later on they make dykes.....this land is flat,no mountains,..Thats why is called : the Low Countries or The Netherlands..
