Allegretto… ‘Click Click Click’…
……An Anachronism that goes ‘Click’ but rarely used these days, far more accurate metronomes and much more portable these days are the ‘Click’ tracks that you can play on your Phone, Tablet etc. This is a French Maelzel Paquet that sits on our piano, I have to say that it IS still wound up and used sometimes by our Son when he visits and plays the Piano. A German invention in 1814 (Winkel) but ‘bettered’ by another German (Mälzel )and subsequently Patented in 1815. Photographed here for ‘Macro Mondays’ theme ‘Anachronism’.
