Union Pacific GE AC44CW 6517 & EMD SD70M 4015 pull a train of Auto Racks
As I stood on the Main Street Bridge in Kansas City, Missouri, over the UP & BNSF Mainlines for about half an hour on July 16, 2015 and no less than five trains passed under the Bridge.
This photo's location can be found on Page 42, Section D6 of the Prairies East And Ozarks SPV Railroad Atlas (See Disclaimer below). It is shown as Kansas City Terminal (KCT) Broadway Yard, just above Union Station on the Railroad Map.
DISCLAIMER: I'm sorry that I don't have any train numbers, however there are several reasons: 1) Until I attended a Wedding in Kansas City two weeks ago, I was unfamiliar with the Kansas City area, 2) I no longer own a Scanner and therefore I cannot ease drop on RR Dispatcher-Locomotive Engineers conversations and 3) I didn't do my homework familiarizing myself with the location of the numerous Railroad Yards and Mainlines thru Kansas City. My sole source of information were my Road Maps and my two SPV Railroad Atlas's (aka: Books of Railroad Maps) by Author Mike Walker.
The two Atlases (Prairies East And Ozarks and Prairies West ) are published in the United Kingdom by Steam Powered Video (SPV), Upper Harbledown, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 9AX. U.K. ( ISBN 1 874745 17 X ) 2004. Prairies East And Ozarks, pages 42 & 43 show all the Railroad Yards and tracks for the Kansas City Area.
