Invite

I stood by a fence to take this shot, using one of the posts as my tripod. It was a very remote area so there was little traffic, only 3 vehicles in the time it took to compose and capture the image.

 

When it comes to working on a scene, I prefer it when there are few distractions. It is not always obvious what initially drew my attention, but working a subject eventually reveals what was there all along.

 

In this case the rolling hills and that terrific red in the barn. The foreground bushes frame the structure and the space between them invites the eyes to move in closer.
