#ThingsMoneyCannotBuy - Childhood.. The Past
I turned 30 the 10th of May 2015. Me and my two brothers used to play on the swings in our garden ; a gift from an uncle, made entirely with solid wood. We used to made jumps contests, or just sat there all day laughing about everything...
We are all adults now and left our parent's house a long time ago, just coming back at few occasions.
I forgot about our beloved swing. Since 2000, when we come visit our parents, we walked around it but never gave it attention.
Some days ago while trying to shoot birds with my camera, it got my attention : its always there, waiting for somebody to play with. The nature came into its own again and felt guilty about it. I just realized I'm not a child anymore...
I was not trying to get ideas for this #FlickrFriday theme, I thought I wouldn't participate because I wasn't inspired. But this picture has a lots of meaning to me, and my family. This is our childhood, our past memory.
We've been through difficult moments in our life, and things have changed, some relations are broken, that's just life.
But in the end, one thing is sure : all the money in the world will never buy you a new childhood, neither bring back to life your past.
Thanks.
