Ottawa Canada's Notre Dame Cathedral
Great photos from my vacation in Canada. Beautiful interior of Notre Dame in Ottawa Ontario with marble pillars and high detail.
ZOOM IN TO SEE THE DETAILS.
HOW WAS THIS SHOT? ... This image was captured at 14,400 ISO at F11 (for deeper depth) and 1/30sec. for a handheld shot (with IBIS (image stabilized sensor) for a steady image at this shutter speed. Also, you should hand hold the camera tight while shooting, with elbows against your chest and click slowly for 1/30 sec. to avoid blur). I captured with a Nikon Z6ii and kit lens (this kit lens is sharp). I later imported and refined this image in Topaz Gigapixel 6.2 which enhanced some of the edge details and removed some digital noise. Zoom in, to see the grand pillars in marble and wood carved balconies. A full-frame sensor also helped with the lower noise compared to APSC sensors. In some churches, you cannot use a Tripod, and so this is a center shot handheld. (Another way to shoot without a tripod is... you can place your camera on a pew ledge to keep it stable at 1/30 sec. near the center aisle, but in this one I stood directly center handheld.)
