Hippodrome before restoration, Bo'ness

One of a series of images showcasing historic Bo'ness - a former port on the River Forth. The town plays host to a range of listed and historical buildings. It also marks the start of the Antonine Wall, part of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site. The remains of a Roman Fortlet can be seen at Kinneil Estate, a park on the western approach to the town.
