singapore today (3 of 3)

this is a quick grab shot today while i went out for dinner.

The benches laid out in the background are a place where friends meet, chit chat eat dinner and smoke a cigarette.

 

This gentleman in the foreground sat there stooping. I took the shot,,, and kept watching him for a while. He was oblivious to his surroundings completely.

 

Obviously there was something more pressing in his mind.

 

I think this reflects a city like singapore very well. People are extremely materialistic, and expectations are high about everything - a rat race. For the next tv, the next camera, the next holiday, the next apple gadget,

 

Some people get left behind.
